A Google search will find a good deal of infomation
about bolometers and their uses. They are often used to
measure high frequency radio energy but are also used in
more exotic applications. Bolometers are of two general
types, baretters and thermistors. The difference is the sign
of the temperature co-efficient. A simple small fuse can be
used as a baretter.
