[Test-Equipment] Sweep Generators

I just did a search, and the cheapest one I found was $284.

I have two 8601A's, one that appears to work and another that powers up
but doesn't work. I always intended to use the working unit, but have
never gotten a round tuit. Is there a big problem with using it without
the 8600A? The price of the 8600A is ten times what I paid for the two
8601A's!
