Another example of this:  Back in the '60's Wavetek had a 331 Distortion
Analyzer in the engineering dept.  On the production line, however, distortion
was measured a 1 kHz only, using a T-Notch filter into a Heathkit VTVM.

Wavetek function generators were also landmark instruments, although there
were so many models over the years, with various feature sets, it's hard
to select a particular one.  Perhaps the Model 110, the basic instrument
of 1966.
