     No apology needed:-)  I just didn't want to take credit for 
someone else's post.
     I remember the 427 very well and had one on my bench at -hp-, it 
was a favorite. I don't know of good sources for older instruments, 
there are a couple I would like myself. A local stand-by was C&H who 
decided to go out of business a few months ago. I haven't gone by it 
for some time so I don't know what's there now. Apex was always much 
too expensive and let stuff just sit around and rot. I go to the TRW 
swap meet locally but don't often see much there. BTW, does anyone 
know about other ham radio or electronic swap meets in the Los Angeles area?
