Gary,
There is no excuse for being personally insulting on these lists. I don't
have a $20 head. And commercial and military grade UPS don't have phone jacks
anyway. That's a comsumer grade sales gimmick.
But my point was that the AC line isn't the only ingress path for a lightning
strike. In the case here, it was determined later that the last phoneco guy
who worked on the drop for one of the lines left the entry point suppressor
disconnected.
