[Test-Equipment] VXI Spec an

A friend of mine has found a Morrow Technologies V9054 VXI spectrum analyzer.

I understand computers and spectrum analyzers.

Does a VXI frame require a controller CPU, or does it have one built in?

Can a VXI piece of test equipment be used stand alone without placing 
it into a VXI frame?

Is it possible to control the VXI test equipment directly from a PC?

I feel sure that I can properly power up the module. Possibly a PC104 
module could be programmed to interface the VXI module to a PC?
