Check all of the setting a few times before tearing into stuff.

You say that the problem is not in the HP141T. Does that mean you have the
oscilloscope plug in modules and have tested the HP141T or are you assuming
it is working correctly because you can see something on the display?



The fact that there is some sort of output on the manual trace is
encouraging. I suggest you use the Service Manual to get guidance on trouble
shooting. You may need to get extension cables if you don't have them
already and you want to look at signals and voltages with the units
separated.
