Hi,
The Tektronix 585A could use the following plug-ins:
type 80 (cathode follower probe), 85mc BW
type 82 dual trace, 80 mc BW
type 86 single trace, 80mc BW
type 81 or 81A is an adapter so many "letter series" plug-ins made for
the 545 series could be used with the 585 series
type 84 is a test plug-in to aid calibrating or troubleshooting a 585
The RM41A has same specs as a Tektronix type 541A, except it is
mechanically arranged for rack mounting.
It has a bandwidth of 33mc. It would use "letter series" plug-ins like
the CA, D,
1A1, 1A2 or 1A4.
The two sets of plug-ins used by the two types of scopes are not
interchangeable.
The connectors on the back of the plug-ins are keyed so they will only
fit into the proper 'scope. Note the position of the thin and thick pins
next to the connector on the back of the plug-ins.
The Tektronix 585A has a triggered sweep which works very well at high
frequencies,
and is the better scope if you want to be able to observe high frequency
(or fast rise-time) signals.
