Furthermore, part numbers without the 2Nxxxx, etc are unregistered types.
In some cases, manufacturers offered devices similar to another manufacturers
2N numbers with a similar number, Motorola's MPS3646 (MPS=Motorola
PlasticSemiconductor) would be equivalent to the 2N3646. PN3646's were
sold by Fairchild, among others.
