Another Barry (Tuttleman) asked:

TS-510(A)/U was the military designation for the unit I have.
I think the whole set with cables and shipping container is
known as the USM-44(A). Many military units were made by
Hewlett Packard, but some, the A-model, were made by Nuclear
Electronics Corporation. They use Hewlett Packard parts and
are virtually identical.
There were many variations of the HP-608 signal generator made
over the years. Most involved minor changes in the frequency
ranges, but internally the changes were more significant, most
being in the power supply area. Neither of the two manuals,
and none of the three schematics I have completely and
accurately represent my exact unit, but they are adequate for
most repairs. Earlier units were all tube. Later units had
more solid state devices.
I would suggest checking the LOGSA site first:

I have not checked this site lately, and if you have problems
ask in the Milsurplus list at QTH.NET. They used to have a
large (2.7 M) Adobe PDF copy of the manual for download. This
is the operators manual and I do not believe it has a
schematic.
