Hi all,
I looked at another one of my 7904's and
found another shorted cap.
This time it was on the main connecting board,
not sure if thats the right name for it.
It is the board behind the plug-ins that every
thing seems to plug in to, it only has a few
parts on it, other then all the connectors.
Anyway, hehind the small vertical chop/alter
board, on the main connection board;
there was a blue cap. on the +15v supply.
I am not sure what this cap is, my manual
only has info on the power supply :(
It is a dipped cap, blue in color.
And oblong in shap, not round.
It has these numbers:
k100
+20v
The second number I am sure means
20 volt. But I am not sure of the first,
or the type of cap.
If it is a tantalum, then 100pf would be
to low for its size.
Also, do they even make tantalum
caps that are oblong, not round ?
Any one know what value and/or type this
cap may be ?
Thanks again for the help.
