[Test-Equipment] Cable IDer

When I needed to ring out my Cat 5 connections, I took an
8 pin jack and connected 7 resistors (1-2-5) inside it.
Then went to the other end of the cables and used a DVM
(ohms scale of course) to check I had the connectors on
properly. Cheap and worked.

I seem to remember a test question (40 years ago) once on what is
the minimum number of trips you had to make from one end of a long
cable to the other to identify each of the 32 wires using an
ohmmeter. It is an interesting problem in queing theory.
