Wow! I got some really rapid responses to that question. Thanks to everyone 
that replied.

The general upshot of this is the parts are probably a Littlefuse standard 
fuse (and that did indeed trigger my memory - I've seen these a decade or so 
ago in a catalog - and I'll bet it was a Littlefuse catalog). These are the 
fuses with the clear top, and the black base.

There's also the chance that these devices were used in TV sets - so that's 
another place to check, in addition to the fact that the good folks at HP may 
have placed spares inside a container in the chassis (you have to love stuff 
that was sold to the Military - there's always spare fuses in there somewhere 
;-)
