Hello Barry and the list.I have a Texscan squalid state sweeper that
obviously can trace its roots back to Telonic.It has exactly the same dials
and almost certainly the same draftsman did the schematic diagrams.Do you
know any thing about Texscan?

4053B sweep generator.  As Fred Olsen noted, the company
was originally located in Indianna and then merged to
become Telonic-Berkeley and moved west to California.

I talked to them about 15 years ago after I purchased a
Telonic SPI-64 sweep generator.  I was told that when the
company moved west, most of their RF engineers stayed in
the midwest going to work for Wavetek.  There was one old
fellow at Telonic-Berkeley who remembered the SPI-64 as
being one of their rushed specialty government products but
he did not remember any details.  I was told they had moved
very little of their documentation.
