Jim Roik ([email protected]) asked about a Telonic Model
4053B sweep generator. As Fred Olsen noted, the company
was originally located in Indianna and then merged to
become Telonic-Berkeley and moved west to California.

I talked to them about 15 years ago after I purchased a
Telonic SPI-64 sweep generator. I was told that when the
company moved west, most of their RF engineers stayed in
the midwest going to work for Wavetek. There was one old
fellow at Telonic-Berkeley who remembered the SPI-64 as
being one of their rushed specialty government products but
he did not remember any details. I was told they had moved
very little of their documentation.

I finally was able to purchase a manual for my unit from
Tucker Electronics about seven years after I bought the
generator (and I paid more for the manual than I did the
generator). You might try them and other manual sources as
well as used equipment dealers.
