[TenTec] Working with an Omni VI option #2 line - a first time impression

I'm visiting Germany and am in the shack of DL2ZAE. There is a loaded K3,
too (2nd RX, 9 filters). But the audio of the Omni is indescribably awesome.
2.8 khz INRAD filters etc. Just as a note, in case someone on this list may
not know how wonderful and utterly capable the Omni VI is! A blind test
versus the high end receivers like FT-9000 or IC-7800 might be surprising.
Today, I'll compare the Omni vs the K3. Sorry for the rant, I feel like a
kid in a toy shop. But it's QRO hell for this QRP OP, as I'm surrounded by
PAs, one of them being the OM 3500 HF linear amp. On the law is a BUNDESWEHR
mobile tower with built in 24 Volts and diesel generator for cranking it up.
