[TenTec] Orion II

Ah, yes. The nefarious "someone" who signed you up for the list. In
over 25 years on Usenet and the Internet and mailing lists in general,
it always seems to get blamed on the "someone" who signed you up for the
list. Despite the fact that the list is actually designed to prevent
such occurrence from actually happening. You see, it's those
notifications that go to you telling you that someone signed you up for
the list and if you didn't want the list, what to do to correct the
problem. Missed that part, did you?
Almost my entire career as a ham, I have owned one piece of TenTec
hardware or another. I have had plenty of opportunities to talk with
TenTec customer service. It has always been second to none. I would
suggest that you *might* be one of those people who gets their feathers
ruffled when anyone suggests that *you* might be at fault. Which, of
course, a genius like yourself could never be at fault.
Your mention of a "negative review" gives a hint towards your
motivation. Evidently, a customer service experience you had didn't go
exactly the way that you desired and/or you failed to explain to the rep
at TenTec what, exactly, you had done to solve RF grounding issues at
your QTH. Rather than simply sell the rig and move on to one that more
suits your ego, you decided to start "spreading the word" on how
"terrible" TenTec is. You now disguise it as having altruistic motives,
claiming that you hope that if you "pointed out a few short comings
(sic) maybe the orion III maybe (sic) better."
I don't think anyone on here thinks the Orion is perfect. However, for
whatever reason, they prefer it to other rigs. While you're certainly
entitled to your opinion, your manner of delivery marks you as the sort
of fellow that used to be found sneaking around under bridges in
Scandinavia.
Please do unsubscribe. It should be easy for a genius like yourself to
figure out how.
