Wow! What a diatribe.

A FAVOR??? Well, I did, and I bought my first Orion as a result. Compared
to the OII , the receiver is a block of wood, the menu system is ungainly
and awkward, and obfuscated, too. The display is awful, and without a LOT
of filters the receiver is easily overloaded...oh, and the stock radio has
key clicks up the whazoo on cw.
I have two people that I know that have bought the Big
> O II and been very diappointed!
This is pretty vague. Sounds to me like YOU never owned one, and that the
mysterious "two people" never read the manual...or took time to learn the
radio.
>RF issuses out the nose
Excuse me? RF issues...what would they be? Sounds like someone doesn't
have the slightest idea about station grounding.
>and the audio just plain stinks.
Receive audio or transmit audio? I would argue that both are under operator
control and refer to my previous comment. Operator error, certainly.
>No more Ten Tec's for this guy!!
When did you have an Orion II or even Orion I? I can't beleive that you
EVER did, because if you had, you'd be singing a much different tune.
Look Guys I did not sign up

Sounds to me that you should stick around just to see the responses to your
ill-informed, hearsay post.
Oh...by the way, if you can figure out how to unsubscribe, it'll be because
you CAN read the "manual" which is belied by your post in the first place.
Have a great day. We'll enjoy our excellent radios...and at least one more
guy will, too, because you'll not have one.
