What kind?  None? -- too much? -- wrong frequency? --- lousy station
grounding causing a problem?

Any radio can be improperly adjusted (and maybe with added RFI issues caused
by poor treatment of RF in the shack), and if so adjusted, will stink.
Sounds like operator error.
