[TenTec] Need help with 535/536 address selection

Has anyone successfully used the Argonaut II (or Delta II) with the model
305 level converter? The 305 (electrically equivalent to the Icom CT-17)
works fine with my Icom radios, but I'm having a problem getting it to work
with my Argonaut II.

The problem is that I can't set the address selection code in the
transceiver because the documents provided with the 535 and the 305 refer to
each other, but neither provides the information needed to set the value.
The 535 Quick Reference Card says to press the "F" button followed by the
"<MODE" button to view/set the code. Doing so displays a value of EC.000.1
(the factory preset is supposed to be 64). Does anyone know the secret to
changing this value? The card says "See the manual for further information",
which turns out to be a wild pointer to nowhere.

For those of you ready to suggest that I call Ten-Tec Service for help, I
already did. Paul tried to be helpful, but wasn't, beyond confirming that
the 1/8" connector on the rear panel labeled REMOTE is, in fact, the serial
interface port (which is labeled J-3 on the Delta II).
