Instead of your president, try writing to your senator.   Explain the 
issues, but stay on topic, be brief, and thank them in advance.   
Remember, the Senate has to confirm the new commissioner.  If questions 
need to be asked, it is the senators that will ask them. 

Unfortunately, I cannot attach thing to list replies, but if anyone 
wants a MS word copy of what I wrote to my two senators, let mw know, 
and I can send you a copy off  list.  \
