Has anyone not done this is a better question Jon.
I used a HP signal generator for an antenna on an NCX 3 once.  Killed the
generator.
You may  want to check the power transistors outside of the circuit.  Maybe
do that first and see how much it is really going to cost to get here back
in the pink.
