[TenTec] ARGONAUT 509 SIDETONE

Hello to the list, and here's hoping you have an answer to my question...

I am the new caretaker of an Argonaut 509, and while playing with it I
noticed the sidetone sometimes has a "chirp" to it.  It doesn't appear to be
on the transmitted signal, just on the sidetone.  I think I've narrowed it
down to a handful of components on the Audio Board, but - before I start my
exploratory surgery - I thought I'd see if someone has already found the
likely source of this problem.  I asked a friend of mine who has had a 509
for many years, and he said his sidetone just started doing the same thing
about a year ago but he doesn't know why.

I'd appreciate the benefit of the hundreds of years of knowledge that read
these requests for help.
