Another comment regarding the Butternut verticals..I have an HF-2V (40/80
mtr stick) and am very familiar with the antennas. For proper operation of
these verticals, they are best set up as ground mounted antennas with a
minimum of 12 - 20 radials of random length. (in addition to a ground round
of 8 feet or more.....the ground round is primarily for lightening
protection, while the radials serve to improve the efficiency (and lower the
SWR) of the antenna. How do you have your antenna installed ?
