[TenTec] Question for the list

Has anyone tried an inrad 9mhz filter in the main transmit/receive slot 
instead of the stock 2.4.  I've been threatening to buy one or two 
inrads for some time for my Omni V.  I have heard that you must re-set 
the carrier balance to get it right.  Is that so?  If that is correct, I 
may need some help on how to do just that.....I'm about ready to order a 
couple inrads!

I was thinking of a 2.8 in the main T/R slot, moving the stock 2.4 to 
the narrow.  Then buying a 2.1 inrad for the 1.8 slot in the second IF. 
All for SSB operating.

Any comments?      PS, Lets keep the list alive and well.  I tried 
Contesting.com and found it much like our hallicrafters and heathkit 
lists here.....lots of ego's to deal with.  But I still tolerate it for 
the sake of information.
