Hello Tom,

Thank you for your words of interest. I have sold my 775-DSP with all the
filters to help purchase the Orion. I have had every Icom, Kenwood, and
Yaesu and one KWM 380. Front end overload has been a problem with all. I had
the Mark V and the Field with all the filters..also my 1000MP had all the
Inrad filters, but never could fight FEO , and rejection to my satisfaction.
The only rig that I have had that comes close is the Icom 756 Pro II. The
reason I have bought all of these rigs was not to be " rig of the month
club member ! " It was because, due to my disability, I was looking for
the best ergonomics and support. From what I read on Eham and other areas
plus talked on the air to Orion owners, I am in the belief that this will be
my last major rig purchase. Having more than roofing filter makes alot of
sense in giving the proper shape to the DSP filters.I will write back after
I learn to set up the AGC time constants for every contact. 73 and g.b. the
group. Oh, this is the first Ten-Tec that I have ever owned.

Regards,
Marty, W3QK

The new Inrad first IF filter sure has helped my Mark V - seems like a new
rig. I'm waiting to see how the proposed Omni VI filter will be. Tom W6EIJ
