That demise of TT message sure upset my purchase plans. Was at the market
when a buddy phoned with the news. Why right then and there, I dropped the
frozen armadillo and snagged me a big old fresh softshell turtle instead.
Why the way he was swimming around in that tank just made my mouth water a
whole lot more than that frozen 'possum on the half shell' (Don't go
writing me and telling me that possum is a slur and I should be using
o'possum. If a possum doesn't like it, he can tell me himself!)

For those who are not familiar with Atlanta shopping, softshell turtle and
frozen armadillo is available at Buford Highway Farmer's Market. Knowing
that armadillo sometimes carry a rather nasty human disease and because
they don't smell too good between thawing and cooking, I seldom go with
them unless some particular armadillo eatinn relations are visiting. This
time, they just had to settle for turtle and I made sure they knew who to
blame.

Where they come from, it's a big deal when someone upsets the meal plans,
so I hope the retrain themselves from exercising their usual cultural
practices and behave in accordance with those of the country in which they
are presently guests.
