Hi all,
A newbe to this list, I'm looking at an OMNI-A for a friend.
The elastic dial cord was old and over-stretched so I replaced the whole
thing with a factory supplied replacement. Followed the insturctions in the
manual.
However, now the venier shaft is not able to pull the dial pointer above
about halfway up the scale. It just slips like there is not enough
'tightness' between the ball bearings in the venier and the knob shaft.
Turning the knob skirt part of the venier and it works ok, as well as going
downscale. Is there any way to tighten up this venier mechanism and
transfer more pull to the dial string.
In the Collins S-line there's an adjustment screw just for this and I'm
wondering how TenTec handles it.
mahalo,
