Pegasus users wishing to use dsp noise reduction other than that =
provided by Ten-Tec, will find that the Pegasus does not have suffucuent =
audio output to drive a "clear speech" unit. A simple modification is as =
follows: obtain a Radio Shack output transformer #273-1380. Remove the =
cover from the Pegasus, and disconnect the two leads from the internal =
speaker. Connect these two leads to the voice coil winding on the =
transformer (above). Connect the other two leads from the transformer =
(1000 ohm winding) to the "spare" jack on the back panel of the Pegasus. =
Connect the audio input from the "clear speech" unit to this jack =
(adapter required). The power required may be obtained from one of the =
13.5 volt jacks on the Pegusus. Earphones or speaker work very well from =
the outpur of the unit, with much more audio available, and having the =
advantage of the fine dsp noise reduction provided by the "clear speech" =
unit....w2gcx
