[TenTec] TT 238 Tuner Questions

Folks,

I recently acquired a TT 238 tuner and have a couple of questions
perhaps other TT folk have dealt with:

1. I would like to line up the rotary inductor knob so the knob zero
lines up with the scale increments to make logging easier. This should
just take removing and putting on the knob. I know I have removed Ten
Tec tuning knobs before but can't remember how, any clues out there?

2. In looking at the pictures, I always guessed that the variable
capacitor tuning knob was one of the vernier/reduction type that I
enjoy on my amplifier. I was just a bit disappointed to get a 1 : 1. I
wonder if anyone has had success at getting and fitting one of the
verniers to this position?

3. I have a bit of a pointer sticking problem, typically at the ends.
when going up from zero, for example, the knob has to go half a turn or
so and then the pointer jumps out to where it should have gone. Similar
at high end. Anyone else solve this?

Thanks for your help!
