[TenTec] ORION FIRST IMPRESSIONS

i was fortunate to see the Orion prototype at the charlotte hamfest 
y'terday. it would appear that tentec is getting ready to make a whole 
bunch of money, and for good reason. if this radio is built to the same 
high-quality specs as its predecessors, i don't see how anyone would  want 
to own anything else.
and here's an extra bonus: unlike other tentec radios of past years, i was 
able to stare directly into the front panel of the Orion with NO noticeable 
loss of vision. in fact, cosmetically, it's a great looking radio by any 
standard.
as i stood by the radio y'terday listening to what others had to say, the 
most common question asked was not, 'how much will it cost?', but rather, 
'when can i place my order?'
note to tentec, i apologize for the drool. hopefully, no one slipped on it.
