You have to hook up the Paragon with a "null modem" cable. Also some
computers require the Handshaking (DSR, CTS) lines to be connected on the
computer end. The Paragon uses no handshaking of it's own and requires the
host program to provide the delay for the Paragon's processing overhead.

Yes, I use the Ten Tec program that runs under DOS/GWBASIC and the only
thing I use it for is backing up the Paragon's memories.

I use LogEQF to log and it will also read the frequency and mode. You can
type in the frequency from the program and it will change the rig frequency.

If you like I can send the GWBASIC program to you, it is a line oriented
menu driven program and a bit "clunky" but I use it to back up my memories
for the Paragon.
