The meeting was called to order at 19:15 by President Daryl Pate.
Daryl reminded everyone to sign in and sign up for net control.
Daryl acknowledged visitors.

Minutes from the July meeting were read by Secretary Jerry Buxton.  Paul made
a motion to accept, C.J. seconded, motion passed.

Treasurer's report was given by C.J.  Mark made a motion to accept, Christy
seconded, motion passed.

Daryl made announcements:
He has done more club mailouts and should finish this month.  There have been
lots of returns (undeliverable).
There is no presentation tonight, next month he plans to have a presentation
on airline communications.
Mark mentioned that he got an email from Section Manager Roy Rabey, who would
like to come to a club meeting.
Daryl asked for ideas for other presentations.  Perhaps one on APRS, after the
APRS forum in September.  Perhaps one on Echolink by Chris.
Hardins sidewalk sale second Saturday of the month.
NCTECH is November 8.
West Gulf Division convention was today.
Gainesville hamfest is August 23.
Texas Repeater system on 441.5 and 145.23 Tuesdays at 20:00 and Sunday at
12:00.
60 meters is open for operation.
The APRS forum is September 6.
There will be a balloon launch August 30, from Hillsboro.
The Azle Jamboree is September 13.
David is taking orders for club hats and t-shirts.
The test session was postponed until Sunday (tomorrow) at 2PM, will be held at
David KB5YLG's home.
11PM Sunday Central Time, registration opens for ARRL level I emergency
communications course.  It is subsidized with a reimbursement of your $45 fee
if you pass the course.  The Level II registration start next Sunday the 10th.

Committee Reports
Field Day - later

NCTECH will schedule a meeting later this month, need to do direct mail and
contact vendors and educators.  There was a discussion of how to notify area
clubs of the event.  There was a discussion of the Friday night event and BBQ.
 There was a general discussion of NCTECH.  David will email a notice of the
next meeting.

EOC - The City of Azle wants to know if we would go RACES, the benefits are
that we get workman's comp. coverage and the city gets state help by having an
official backup.

Trailer - keep an eye out for a new trailer.

Old Business
A discussion was held on whether to use the club trailer or a tent at the Azle
Jamboree.  We will have a lot between National Samples and Azle Bank, should
be lots of room.  In order to use the lot, we need to show insurance papers. 
Possible fundraising ideas were discussed, such as selling merchandise,
refreshments, and asking for donations.  Christy motioned to spend $70 to $90
for the Azle Jamboree.  C.J. seconded, motion passed.

For Field Day reimbursements for food, propane etc. turn in your receipts to
C.J.

New Business
Elections were held.
For Vice President/Treasurer, Fred volunteered and then withdrew.  Jerry
nominated C.J. who declined.  Jerry Buxton volunteered to be Vice President
and will delegate the treasury duties to C.J. who has done a fine job this
year.
For President, Fred Muehlen was nominated, Chris was nominated and withdrew.
For Secretary, Christy Brewer was nominated.
David motioned to indicate a hand vote affirmation for the single nominees for
each position.  Paul seconded, motion passed.  Paul motioned to affirm the
candidates as nominated, David seconded, motion passed.

There was a discussion of tower parties going on, David and Fred... Paul says
he knows of a 54 foot crank up tower if anyone is interested.

Pass the hat netter $19.31.

Christy made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Paul, the meeting was adjourned
at 20:19.
