Hello all,
I have waited until the last minute to tell everyone, because I still do not
have 100% confirmation that I will have a license to operate in Colombia.
Hopefully it will be granted while we are there next week.
I'm Jerry N0JY, and I am taking my FT-817 and MP-1 antenna along on the trip
to San Andres Island. San Andres is a Colombian island located off the east
coast of Nicaragua. I hope to get on the air there and make some contacts...
this is not a DXpedition, so the operating will be casual when I make time
throughout the day, mostly evenings I suppose. I plan to call on the HFpack
frequencies (if I get the license of course!) and hope to find some of you on
the air. We will be there Sunday June 15 through Thrusday June 19.
I'll be operating solely on batteries so 2.5W into the MP-1. I will try
mostly SSB but I am taking the key along to do some CW too. I don't know what
the callsign will be, but if you hear an HK prefix on the HFpack frequencies
give me a call!
Frequencies:
18157.5 khz ssb
14342.5 khz ssb
28327.5 khz ssb
7242.5 khz ssb
There are some other frequencies, but these are the primary calling freqs.
You can find them all at http://www.hfpack.com

Jerry
