Many thanks and congratulations to the volunteers who
are serving North Texas and attended the well
publicized meeting. Much was accomplished.
Attending:

WD5ILB, Billinda Overton, Fred Muehlen N5WLA and
honorable mention for late arrival, Terry Henderson

NCTECH 2003 is set for Saturday, November 8 with the
Vendors and Workers sharing in BBQ dinner and set up
on Friday Nov 7.
Location is Azle BJ Clark and Emanuel Buildings in Ash
Creek Park.
Future NCTECH 2003 Committee meeting dates are set for
Feb 22, Mar 29, Apr 26, May 24, Jun 21, Jul 26, Aug
30, Sep 27, Oct 11, Oct 25 and Nov 1. The Feb 22
meeting will be at 11:30am at the Hamfest site, and
will proceed to Mark Dean's BBQ for lunch.
Fred Muehlen N5WLA has accepted responsibility for the
site and facility logistics, and will be recruiting
volunteers for Security responsibilities in exchange
for free admission and free door-prize drawing
tickets.
Fred will also be preparing a table lay out chart, and
access control for admissions purposes.

Bob Overton WD5ILB [email protected], Billinda Overton
[email protected] and Thomas Dunn KD5UEP
[email protected] have accepted responsibility for
assigning tables and dealing with Vendor requests, and
contacting vendors in efforts aside from the routine
publicity effort.
Jerry Buxton N0JY [email protected] in absentia was
assigned the education program responsibilities in
keeping with recent tradition. Let us know your
acceptance or rejection, Jerry. :)
Denise Johnson KB5YLG [email protected] has accepted
the responsbility for producing marketing materials
such as flyers and posters. Denise will also be
responsible for administrative supplies such as
admission tickets, name badges, hand stamps and so on,
as well as door prize collection and handling. Also,
Denise will be coordinating the BBQ dinner food.
Mention was made that either KD5OAU, or Jenny's
Country Kitchen or Mark Dean's as providers.
Matt Muehlen has accepted responsibility for
coordinating sales of coffee, soft drinks and hot
cocoa on behalf of the club. He'll be looking for
volunteers to assist him in this effort. Thomas
KD5UEP plans to donate fresh coffee grounds for the
occasion.
David Johnson KB5YLG [email protected] accepted
principal responsibility for publicity efforts.
Flyers will be distributed at upcoming amateur radio
events, a mailing database will be made for vendors,
and clubs will be notified. World wide web efforts
will take off. David has submitted the ham-fest for
ARRL sanction and QST listing. David will also
complete updating the web page asap. David will also
coordinate inviting specific groups for free
admission, for partner agencies. Daryl KC5SLQ is
planning an upcoming publicity mailing to local hams,
and NCTECH flyers might be included. Volunteerrs will
be sought for distribution of flyers, announcing ham-
fest on nets. Volunteers for distribution of flyers
at Skywarn Training next weekend include David KB5YLG,
Thomas KD5UEP, Matt KD5TXW, Fred N5WLA and Terry
KJ5ZR.
There was some discussion that N5WLA and KJ5ZR may
provide the site security over Friday night Nov 7, and
also host an all night net on 80 meters.
KM5TT VE Team is slotted for providing VE testing.
