To check your connectors and coax, unhook the antenna and check to see
that you have NO continuity between center pin and shield.  

ALSO, check end to end and see that you HAVE continuity, center pin to
center pin and shield to shield.

And/or you can hook your meeter to sheild and center pin on one end and
short the other end and verify that shorting produces continuity and
removing the short does not.
