David,

If any of you guys interested in building a node for the IRLP let me know I have some of the equipment. It would be nice for us to have the first IRLP node in the Tarrant county area.

I'm a member of the Texas Repeater System who has the Node in Dallas 444.150. It is owned by Chris Hudgins. The repeaters is on-top of a 1000 ft building in downtown Dallas and has very good coverage of the metro plex. The repeater is open and you can get additional information at www.texasrepeatersystem.com 

Talking to western Australia or South pole is no problem at all even from a handy talkie.

Try it out the node is usually connected to the Denver reflector but if you want to move it around to another location let me or one of the other controllers know.
