Here's the information I got from Checker's today:

The meeting area will hold 30 people just fine, they said that they have had
up to 50.

They require a $20 deposit that is refunded when you show up.  That means that
if we meet monthly, we would just give them $20 and they could keep holding
that deposit until we decide to quit meeting there or we don't show up.

No minimum purchase.

If we know the number of attendees in advance, we can tell them and they could
prepare the food to be ready on arrival.

Checker's has a full italian menu plus pizza.

I will visit the loft area again maybe Friday or Saturday and see how the
noise level is up there.
