RG8x weighs 4.1 lbs/100'.  300' to the beach (12 lbs)  would have approx
2.4 db loss at 7 mhz; approx 1.5 dB loss on 3.5 mhz; approx .9 db loss
on 160.

RG8 (8214) weighs 10.4 lbs/100'.  300' to the beach  (31 lbs) would have
1.3 dB loss on 7 mhz.  

Put it this way:  19 more pounds of coax for the run to the beach would
only gain you 1 dB on 40; less on the lower bands (only .5 dB on 160).
Not worth the effort UNLESS the Coax was shared with a higher band (ie
80 meter vertical feedline also used on beachfront 10 meter antenna)
