Hi Guys,
I'd like to operate on 80-160M while we're in FP. Greg has the BW antenna
that might give us some rf on 160 for the contest and Ian's Butternut looks
great for 80M. I remember talking with Jeff N8CC, the problem was noise on
rx using the Battle Creek Special. I'm thinking about a snake antenna made
with RG-176 coax that might be a noise solution for us. I've enclosed a
link here to some older discussions worth reading. It's a poor antenna at
best but does give some results and considering the ease of installation
and the fact "we're the DX" it might be worth while. Any thoughts on the
idea of rx antennas for 160M and 80M ?
