[TAC] Another question

I operate both 15 and 10 off the same quads.....sometimes it's better
than others...I think 15 is OK, but 10 meters I have some interference.
Of course this is with 1000 watts and synthesizer-dirty IC765's....

Sometimes I use a beverage for receive on one of the rigs, to minimize
interference.

Yup...the band must be open in the same direction!

I'll check with VE7SV as to whether the lumber yard might have CATV
coax.

Actually, close to the water on 40 and 80 is OK, since coax losses will
be minimized.

I was thinking of the same thing Greg, but what about problems of
interference and desense trying to run three bands on one antenna and
are
all three bands going to be open in the same direction at the same
time.....

Great idea on buying the coax there...i wonder if they would have a
large
enough quantity to do what we need.

I don't think we really need to be very close to the water for 20-10 but
80
and 40 might be better off closer to the water.

A question that also begs to be answered....how close to the ocean do we
have to get? Can we put the tribander 100' from the motel? Will the
Maxotel folks be OK with that?

BTW one advantage to taking a quad vs the TA33 is that we could run
three bands at one time from a single quad.....
