There are the Viproplex single-lever paddles used for keyers....that is
the one!

I never got to master a bug...they were the big rage when I was licensed
in '62.

Hi Greg, Ted and the rest of the gang,

N9NE here.

I appreciate the invite to join your group!

I told Hank I'd make a decision right quick :)

I am not an "Iambic Keyer", so I have two of the Vibroplex non-iambic
paddles (are they called single action?). This comes out of the late
50's
when I used my late grandfather's 1928 bug he had as a telegrapher on
the
Soo Line RR. I'm too old of a dog to learn new tricks. Is this what you
are
referring to?

Parlez-vous? The only words I know in French are "Coupe-de-Ville".

Welcome aboard! This is sounding like a great trip!

BTW got my Halifax to St Pierre tickets today.

Some misc questions:

Hank: What does your TA33 weigh?
Is anyone else like me and has to use a Vibroplex?
It sounds like 300'-400' to the waters edge. Much coax needed..??
