[Swan] 500cx band switch problems

Just picked up a really nice and clean,little dust, 500cx. the band switch with all its linkage was hard to turn between bands. went and put a tiny drop of watch oit on all the pivot points and let sit over night. This morning the switch movement was a bit better,but still not a easy touch of the knob. This is the first swan hf rig that I have worked on with all this linkage, Maybe Iam expecting too much? Is the bsnd selection on these rigs a tight turn or do I need to go further  and pull it all apart.
