Touch lamps are notorious for turning off and on with r.f. There are two generally accepted things to do:
1. Add an off-on toggle switch to "kill" the lamp when you are operating.
2. This is the preferred method, delegate the touch lamp to the trash can.
I have a touch lamp that turns on with as little as 25 watts PEP output and my antenna system is definitely better than average. Now I have no TVI, do not even get into my computer speakers, and so forth even when running 1400 watts output (my linear won't quite make it to 1500 watts).
See http://k9sth.com/uploads/newantenna.JPG for antenna photos.
As for the antenna: What are you using for a counterpoise? You need at least 3 or 4 radials for each band coming from the base of the antenna. Even those antennas that supposedly will work with no counterpoise they will work considerably better with radials.

Also when I transmit with my 700CX or with my Yaesu 890 it turns off my Hitachi HDTV. It also turns on a touch lamp. I'm using a Gap Titan antenna mounted on the roof of a 2 1/2 story house. I'd like to know if anyone has seen this problem and what I could do about it!
