OK Greg, buy a new transformer or a power supply plus shipping to
Argentina is very expensive.
I speak with a friend electrician and go to try rewind the transformer.

Here in the US, yes, that is the usual solution. Swan power supplies
are plentiful. A Drake AC3 or AC4 will also work but you need to re-wire
the DC connector.
I suggest you build your own supply or buy a used one from Ebay or
someone.
Ebay also has transformers. Eventually the kind you need will show up.
