Hi Ken and all,

            I have operated a Swan 270B for well over 20 years.  Very nice 
rig.  A couple of notes on your situation for CW,  1) there is no CW 
sidetone in the circuit so you have to use external source to monitor your 
keying, or you can use a Keyer that has sidetone in it.  2) the meter is 
quite small and may not show mush deflection while keying the circuit.  Can 
you monitor the output with a power or swr meter to see your output?

             I put mine on the desk last spring and ran CW great with lots 
of contacts however for some reason on SSB I have poor audio.  Someday I 
will check it out.  Good Luck and let me know how you make out.
