[Swan] cygnet 270 question

Could be something as simple as a dirty switch.  Do you have a key 
plugged into the CW jack?  If you do, you won't be able to tune unless 
the key is depressed.

Also, if the CW jack is bad (the center contact isn't shorting back to 
the shell contact) you won't be able to tune.

If you need some copies out of the manual, I have the original for my 
270B model.
