Well overal I was impressed with the Swan 250/TV2B combination. Made a
couple of contacts into OK on 6 and a contact into VA on 2 with only dipole
antennas.
Only major problem was the clubs local Mr. Know-it-All, decided to tune
around on 6 meters and used the MHz. knob and I lost my frequency
calabration and it was 10 minutes till start time so I tried to get it back
but was hard as I could only hear one beacon (W3HH) and when I set the radio
by the 100khz calabrator the beacon was found about 10 - 15khz off freq. but
it was on freq. by my Alinco DX70t which I ended up using for field day
after all.
Decided I am going to invest in a handheld freq. counter to help set-up of
the Swan 250 in the future.
ALSO, found the Swan 250 to be very deaf! Definitely going to have to add a
pre-amp or two on the RX side cause I could only hear signals of at least S5
or higher compared to the Alinco. Now I know I am comparing apples to
oranges but its all I have to compare RX with. Also, I know the Swan will
never hear as good as some of the newer rigs but a little improvement would
never hurt.
See you folks later,

PS: Was so mad at the Swan I almost posted it on eBay, but I didn't!
