You might want to get on with it before the parts
availability dries up (if it hasn't already).
I put mine in storage in working order. Now it has
a problem, Standard has been absorbed, and Yaesu
doesn't offer any direct support. Pretty disappointing.

I know of Matt Adrian. He handled an issue where a power
supply failed and fed high voltage into my first C228A.
He didn't repair it. He said is was beyond repair. He
ended up selling me a refurbished replacement. That was
12 years ago.

Yes, please send a list of independent service technicians.
I've been looking on my own and haven't had any luck.
The ones I've contacted say one of two things: they don't
service HTs or they don't service Standard.
