[Standard] 5608 Turn Off Problem

I would suspect that there has been electrical damage to the processor.
However, I would remove the boards from the case, wash them in distilled
water to remove anything that might have formed a short. This could be the
flux used when the radio was first made. I would use a brush that will
remove any residue without scratching the board.

I would then bake the boards in an oven at no more than 150 degrees. The
oven light will build up enough heat to remove the moisture. I would leave
the oven in the bake for a day or so to ensure that all the moisture is
driven off.

After this I would apply power and see how the radio responds. If you
cannot control the radio, it is time to send it to the radio doctor.
